ORANGE COUNTY RESIDENT TAKES THE MCDONALD’S 30-DAY DIET CHALLENGE

Free Health & Fitness Seminar Discussing The Diet Experience Will Be Held at Triangle Square Shopping Center on May 1, 2004

Costa Mesa, Calif.— March 30, 2004 — Debating the idea that McDonald’s or the fast food industry is responsible for the growing problem of obesity in America, an Orange County resident will only eat McDonald’s food for a 30-day period beginning April 1, 2004 in order to prove that most Americans are receiving incorrect information about their health.

Forty-eight year old Chazz Weaver decided to take this challenge in response to Morgan Spurlock’s forthcoming documentary, “Super Size Me.” An economist, with his master’s degree, Weaver will be basing his conclusions on 22 years of research in the nutrition and fitness fields and extensive coaching of individuals’ weight loss success.

“Unfortunately, we receive most of our health and fitness information from the industry itself rather than from an objective third party,” said Weaver. “My purpose of this endeavor is to educate the public about the mountain of misinformation communicated to the public regarding obesity and weight loss. Unlike the health and fitness industry, I am here to educate, not to sell anything.”

The Health & Fitness seminar will be held on May 1, 2004 from 11am –1 pm at Triangle Square -- a retail/entertainment shopping center located in the heart of Costa Mesa. Weaver will be discussing his experience during the McDonald’s 30-day challenge and reflect on the following three components of fitness: The human body and its efficiency; how the human body uses calories (proteins, carbohydrates and fat); and why people need to exercise in order to have a better quality of life. In addition, Weaver will demonstrate why most diets fail, the truth about exercise equipment, the value of supplements, what personal trainer’s & medical doctor’s don’t know, and what questions need to be asked before a diet is started.

According to Weaver, a weight-loss program first needs to be tailored to the individual, then should be focused on diet (caloric intake), aerobic exercise and anaerobic (weight resistance) exercise.
“All of these components are required for success and their combination creates a synergistic effect that far surpasses the value they contribute individually, “said Weaver.
